What Is Interest Based Information ?

Interest Based Information is a collection of data points associated with your Internet browser’s interactions with websites you have previously visited on the Internet. Customer Websites that use Interest based content may deliver web-content to you which is specifically tailored to you and based upon those Internet browser data points.

E.G. We may understand you like ordering pizzas online but we don't know when you last had one.

Our Customers – Who Are They & How Do They Use Our Information?

When customers sign-up to use our interest based content product on their website they enter into a contract with us. In this contract we require our customers to not only adhere to data protection legislation, but to also follow best practices in how they store and use any interest based content Information.

We also insist that our customers set out in their privacy policy when they are using interest based content on their website. We believe that this is extremely important as it allows you to know when interest based content Information is being collected about you, and it gives you an opportunity to decide whether or not you wish to opt-out from such data collection.

the disclosure is part of a merger, reorganisation or sale of the assets of StrangeLogic and where the information is not used in a way inconsistent with our Privacy Policy.

Interest Based Aggregated Information

We may from time-to-time share with third parties and/or publish information which is presented in an aggregated form (“Interest Based Aggregated Information”).

Interest based Aggregated Information is information which does not contain any personal information, nor is information at a level which could enable any third party to identify you as an individual.

Aggregated Information may be, by way of example only, be information on the number of overall visitors to a website.

How Long Do We Keep Interest Based Information For?

If you have not visited any of our Customer Websites and/or had interest based information collected about you in the last twelve (12) months, then we will no longer keep that information, unless we are required by law or a regulatory authority to do so. We may keep Aggregated Information for a longer period of time.

How Can I Stop Interest Based Information being collected About Me?

How Do We Ensure That Interest Based Information is Secure?

We regularly review and update our internal policies and procedures for ensuring that the way in which we collect, store and use our interest based information is safe and secure and goes beyond regulatory requirements.
